Fenugreek Seed, Whole

Fenugreek Seed, Whole

Our fenugreek seed not only looks beautiful, it also has the beautiful aroma of maple syrup and caramel.

Fenugreek seeds are commonly used in Indian cuisine, but also found in Moroccan, North African and Middle Eastern dishes.

The hard, ground seeds are often toasted and used in curry powders, chutneys, spice blends, dry rubs, and tea blends.

BTW, here’s a little fenugreek pro tip for you. To reduce bitterness and to soften the  texture, we recommending soaking fenugreek seeds overnight in water before use.

We bring our fenugreek seeds in fresh and direct from Rajasthan, India. And like all of our spices, we supply them to award-winning chefs around the country. We give you access to the exact same spice lots.

Glorious!

Now I know what spices are all about. I had a great meal with a magical curry in an Indian restaurant where no one even spoke English. It was the real deal and I've never had anything like it, and now with these spices from RT I am re-creating that magic for myself. I had always thought fenugreek and coriander were dreadful spices, because everything I purchased in a grocery store was just that. Hah! Keep your hands to yourself and step back from my spice rack and nobody gets hurt.

these spices make all the difference

Thrilled with my recent purchase of garam masala, tikka masala, fenugreek and kashmiri chili. While others have been working on sourdough, I've been working on perfecting tikka at home. These spices have made all the difference - earthy, spicy, amazing.

Absolutely the best!

I used it as part of my Garam Masala recipe and I used it alone today in my Dal recipe. It added an amazing flavor to my spice mix and did I mention the beautiful aroma when I was lightly roasting them. These are really fresh, I grow a lot of my own spices and herbs in my backyard and these are just as fresh as the ones I grow. I am very happy with the quality of the Fenugreek and the other items I have purchased. I will be purchasing again :). Thanks Scott!

Fenugreek that Blew My Mind

I love good spices. I cringe at the idea of using anything less than good spices, and let's be honest there are a lot of spices out there that are "less than good". When I researched the spices from The RTE I was hopeful and intrigued. What grabbed my attention most was that this shop doesn't try the sell everything and anything. The owner specifically says they only sell a few spices because it is what they think are exceptional spices. When I first opened my order the fragrances from these spices made my jaw drop and my moth water... I almost drooled - no joke. Honestly, the fenugreek is the best I have ever used. The maple aroma from it is astounding. Now that I've smelled and tasted spice excellence my snobbery threshold for spices will forever be set at this new standard. It was eye opening and yet I'm a little sad... I don't think I can buy these spices from anyone else ever again.
