And while you are located in our spice section, we know you are not actually a spice. You are an herb. But out of respect, we promise to never call you "Herb” or “Herbert”.
We know you are used in Indian, Middle Eastern, and African cooking. We know you have the aroma of thyme and oregano, but that you are a bit pungent. (Hey, that’s not an insult! It’s true!)
We know you are best used in small quantities and almost always cooked. Often dry-roasted or cooked in ghee.
We know that you are used in curries, veggies, potatoes, baked goods, and pastries.
