Bollywood Theater Tikka Masala

Bollywood Theater Tikka Masala

Proud to be named in Bon Appétit as a "Top 10 Online Specialty Food Store"

If you ever find yourself in Portland, Oregon, you must stop by one of Chef Troy MacLarty’s wildly popular Bollywood Theater eateries. Chef MacLarty is doing for Indian food what Chef Rick Bayless did for Mexican fare. He’s redefining our understanding of the cuisine.

I worked with Chef MacLarty and my partner in India, Mr. Divakar, to bring together Bollywood Theater recipes and the finest spices in India. The results were so good, Chef MacLarty is now using our masala blends to prepare the food in his restaurants.

Our Bollywood Theater Tikka Masala is an authentic Indian spice blend featuring cumin, turmeric, black pepper and cayenne. It complements chicken, lamb, fish, veggies and paneer. There’s even a Bollywood Theater recipe inside the tube.

Also available in a 3-pack box set with Garam and Vindaloo Masala.

Bollywood Theater is a wildly popular Indian street food restaurant with two locations in Portland, Oregon. Both are just a rickshaw ride from downtown.

First Meal with Reluctant Trading Spices

Had tikka masala tonight from the Bollywood Theater Indian Spice Set. Cold here in Chicago so put the chicken under the broiler instead of on the grill. Flavor was wonderful. My wife, who loves Indian food, said it was great. I had seconds and see thirds in my future later tonight. Apart from the food itself, I have been very impressed with Reluctant Trading's quickness in filling orders and open and sincere regard for customer feedback.

Bollywood blends make magic happen!

After picking up a jar of fragrant curry blend from Bollywood Theater, when I ran out i was instantly sad. Living on the East coast I was so excited to see it offered on Reluctant Trading along with a Masala trio. While it's a priviledge to have these blends on hand, they make me long for a trip back to BT! Pro tip: we found these to work great as a dry rub for chicken wings too!

My favorite on-line shopping experience

I have been purchasing items from Reluctant Trading Company for about
3 years. I have purchased a variety of items: salt selection for my in-laws,
chia tea for my son, garam masala and a beautifully handcrafted salt holder
for myself. Everything arrived in a timely fashion and wrapped with extreme care. You can tell how dedicated Scott is to customer satisfaction. Every
item ordered came individually wrapped with the upmost care. So refreshing to experience this when other sellers just throw your item in a box and they're
done. All the items purchased have been excellent. The garam masala
is so fresh and flavorful. I will continue to purchase from this company. It
is definitely a 5-star experience.

Authentic and Fresh

I was a long time customer of Spice Ace in San Francisco. Since they closed down in January 2019, I've been looking for a good replacement. I tried spice blends from many online spice merchants. None of them were any good. I had to add salt and pepper to them to give them flavor, and they didn't seem very fresh.

Then I found The Reluctant Trading Experiment. I ordered the Vindaloo Masala and the Tikka Masala. Both are authentic and fresh. I didn't need to add anything to them to give them flavor. They are both bursting with flavor! I will be buying more of them from The Reluctant Trading Experiment. Also, their shipping rates are reasonable. I was born in Kerala, where The Reluctant Trading Experiment gets their spices. Scott, keep up the good work, and please stay in business :-)
