The only way to improve on “great", offer a Little Cranky salt & pepper set with a white, or pink “C” & a black “C”. It’s just a thought. Other than that, they function perfectly, they're easy to fill & the crank is easier to operate with moist hands, than a twist type grinder. Lastly, Little Cranky grinds salt as beautifully, as it grinds pepper.
Because we cannot stop arguing over who it belongs to. Works like a charm and fits perfectly in the hand. It's a little on the pricey side or we could resolve this quickly.
It’s smaller than I expected, but you did publish the dimensions...the Cranky part works very well, and the mill holds a good amount of peppercorns. I like the two-way grinding feature. A bit expensive, but once in a while you need to treat yourself! Get your dancing shoes on!
Scott, Sorry to keep you on pins and needles. I am overall very happy with the Little Cranky. I must point out, however, that it is only about 30% efficient in grinding cumin. Much more seed than grind passes through. This is with the adjustment at the finest (tightest) setting. Works fine for pepper, coriander, nutmeg, etc.
Seems solid and well built. Nice mechanism, good adjustability, comfortable to grind. I got this to replace a Perfex with a broken handle, and I like this mill better.
