I'm thrilled to tell you about the launch of a new line of authentic Indian Masala spice mixes designed by Chef Troy MacLarty exclusively for Reluctant Trading.
Troy MacLarty is the incredible chef (and super great guy) behind Bollywood Theater, two Indian street fare inspired restaurants in Portland, Oregon. I stumbled on Bollywood Theater a couple of years ago and was blown away.
Chef MacLarty is no ordinary chef. He was classically trained at the renowned Chez Panisse in Berkeley. And Bollywood has been lauded by Sunset, Tasting Table, Bon Appetit, Kinfolk, The Oregonian and Portland Monthly.
Chef MacLarty and I worked closely with my friend in India, Mr. Divakar, to formulate three authentic Indian masalas and a delicious Masala Chai Tea. I can't tell you how beautiful these turned out. I wish Google invented scratch and sniff emails so I could show you.
Oh yeah, there are several other new spices as well, including Green, White and Mixed Peppercorns, Cardamom and Paprika. New packaging too.
